Music Education Teacher for a Early Childhood and Elementary (Sagamore, MA)

Small private Montessori school (serving ages 3 to 12) in Sagamore is looking to hire a part-time Music Teacher starting February 2, 2026. This position is part time, 8-10 hours per week and follows a typical school calendar. The hours generally fall between 11am and 3 pm. Candidates should have appropriate experience in the music education realm as well as strong communication skills and a willingness to be part of a dynamic group of educators. If interested, hours could be extended to encompass after school programming as well as substitute teaching. If your passion lies in incorporating drama, great. If you are interested in incorporating instrument instruction, we have ukuleles and recorders. The "just-right" candidate can create a program perhaps modeled after what we have done in the past, but with wonderful opportunities to make it your own! Our yearly schedule follows a typical school calendar with holidays and week-long vacations in both February and April. This position could be ideal for a parent with school-age children. Candidates should love children, be eager to create and facilitate fun and enjoyable activities, be able to provide a structured and safe environment, and be able to communicate with parents. Experience working with children is required. Criminal Background Check, Fingerprinting and CORI will be required.
