All Cape & Islands
High School Jazz Audition Requirements & Festival Guidelines

This festival is designed for Cape and Islands students grades 9-12 interested in participating in a Jazz Big Band (reading jazz sheet music with dense harmony) or a
Jazz Improvisational Combo (emphasis on aural & improvisational music skills) with a group of experienced and enthusiastic peers, excellent workshop leaders/conductors,
and supportive music educators.

In addition, we are excited to offer a Jazz Exhibition component this year for any Cape & Island Jazz groups interested in participating. Students will perform one or two pieces as a group in the afternoon concert (depending on how many groups choose to participate).

Music teachers interested in having their jazz bands participate
please forward any questions to
Dan Anthony.
